Question : I have missed my period for 5 days now. I have taken two pregnancy tests and they both have come out negative. I took the Plan B one step pill a month ago during my last period. It has now been 33 days since the last day of my period. I guess I’m just wondering what I should do or if I’m at risk for anything. Should I take another pregnancy test of a different brand? I have an appointment with an OBGYN physician in a couple of weeks.

Answer : If you’re pregnant, a pregnancy test will generally be positive by the time you miss your period. Most likely you’re not pregnant. Plan B can throw your periods off, causing them to come either late or early. I wouldn’t bother taking another pregnancy test unless you get pregnancy symptoms. Hopefully you’ve used some method of birth control if you’ve has sex since taking the Plan B. I’m sure you’re not pregnant from before the Plan B. If your period is late because of the Plan B, your cycles will get back to normal once this period comes. Best wishes.
